Rear Wheel Build Diary

Constructing the rear wheels for the road locomotive demands a blend of traditional craftsmanship, modern engineering & sheer will. Measuring over 4ft each the wheel rims are turned on a lathe to achieve precise dimensions. The spokes are then cast into the hub before being assembled into the wheel rim using hot rivets & a pneumatic gun.
